This is an exclusive Dose of me report from interior Sindh, where we have found this amazing arena used for animal fights. The footage below are from a famous Fight Arena in interior Sindh near the small city of Sukkur where the organizers arrange multiple animal fights including Pigs, Bears and Dogs.
The rules are quite simple. A medium or large size black horned pig at one end and on the other hand there are 2 – 3 dogs normally from Pitbull or Bully breed depending on the size of the pig. There is an entry point for the pigs and its like a cave sort of thing with a wooden gate infront of it. However the dogs jumped-in in style from the boundaries.
Every fight lasts for around 8 – 10 mins and if the dogs managed to take the pig down they win OR if the pig managed to out smart the dogs and slip into the cave it means the pig won.

Facebook’s Mark Zukerberg Comic Book Has Arrived

The biographical comic portraying the life of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg hits shelves today.
Canadian comic production company Bluewater Productions released the “giant-sized” 48-page issue, which freelance journalist Jerome Maida wrote Sal Field illustrated.
“Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire on the planet and created something that has already had a profound impact on the world. Yet hardly anyone knows much about him. It’s amazing,” said Maida, adding that he’s trying to give context to a complex public figure in his portrayal of Zuckerberg.
“Rightly or wrongly, Mark dealt harshly with some people on his way to where he is today. As we see, he left many people feeling betrayed. I try my best to be fair here,” Maida said.
Thanks to his billionaire status and the many lawsuits surrounding Facebook, Zuckerberg was already an (unwilling) star of David Fincher’s movie The Social Network, which is up for several Academy Awards. And thanks to the comic, Zuckerberg also may become an animated character, as the production company Hayden 5 Media optioned the script to create an animated film based on it.
The comic costs $6.99 and is available at comic book stores.

Radiation from cellphone antenna boosts brain activity, study finds

The study suggests electromagnetic radiation from the antenna may be altering the way we think and behave. The findings may spark new concerns about the health effects of cellphone use.
The electromagnetic radiation emitted by a cellular phone’s antenna appears to activate nearby regions of the brain to unusually high levels, according to a study published Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Assn. that is likely to spark new concerns about the health effects of wireless devices.
The preliminary study, led by a respected neuroscientist at the National Institutes of Health, raises many more questions than it answers. But by providing solid evidence that cellphone use has measurable effects on brain activity, it suggests that the nation’s passionate attachment to its 300 million cellphones may be altering the way we think and behave in subtle ways.
Researchers peered inside the brains of 47 healthy subjects using positron emission tomography, also known as PET scanning, to measure the location and timing of brain activity by detecting signs that cells were consuming energy. They found that despite official skepticism that cellphones’ electromagnetic energy exerts any influence on nearby cells — including statements issued by the Food and Drug Administration — it clearly does.
“Because there’s been such a massive expansion in cellphone use these past 15 to 20 years, it behooves us to try to understand whether, if we use these devices repeatedly and intensively for years, do they have lasting effects?” said study leader Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, who researches how addiction affects the brain.
Those effects could vary widely depending upon the location of a cellphone’s antenna, the frequency on which it operates, and how long one uses the device, Volkow said.
What the study does not suggest is that cellphone use contributes to the development of brain cancers. Although that concern is pressed adamantly by activists, a growing body of research has failed to find evidence to support it.
The study found that two areas of the brain close to the phone’s antenna, which was embedded in the mouthpiece of the phone used, showed unusual increases in activity throughout a 50-minute period of live transmission. The researchers speculated that a cellphone with its antenna placed elsewhere — near the phone’s earpiece, for instance — might activate different regions in the brain.
That the heightened activity occurred closest to the antenna, and not near the place where the phone was in direct contact with the head, signaled to the study’s authors that the changes were a response to electromagnetic signals and not a reaction to the heat generated by the device. The FDA has taken the position that any harmful effects of cellphones are the result of tissue becoming overheated by direct exposure to the device as it warms with prolonged use.
Researchers also were careful to rule out that the increased brain activity was a response to language or other sounds heard over the phone. In their “live” phase, the phones in the experiment were connected to a recorded message, but the audio signal was muted, so subjects heard nothing.
“It’s a surprising finding,” said Dr. Keith L. Black, chairman of neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, who wasn’t involved in the study. “We normally don’t expect the brain to be activated unless it’s in response to stimulation, or unless it’s in a pathological state such as epilepsy.”
That the mere proximity of an electromagnetic radiation source could stimulate activity in the brain is potentially significant, Black added. “We don’t know whether this is a good effect, a neutral effect or a bad effect — and if it is a bad effect, we don’t know what kind of exposure is required” to cause harm, he said. That should come with further research.
In an editorial accompanying the study, University of Washington bioengineer Henry Lai and Swedish oncologist Lennart Hardell wrote that the study raises questions that are potentially worrisome.
For starters, they asked whether the brain activity observed in the study may have resulted from a shift in the levels or action of certain brain chemicals, such as the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin. Because those chemicals play crucial roles elsewhere in the body, changes brought about by cellphone use could have unpredictable health effects far from the brain, they wrote.
Lai and Hardell also wondered whether regular use of wireless devices would prompt chronic stimulation of certain parts of the brain, and whether such stimulation could, over time, have unpredictable effects.

All 14 Captains to Ride Rickshaw Drive – World Cup 2011 Opening Ceremony

Dhaka: The rickshaw, a common man’s traditional transport in Bangladesh, will occupy the center stage in Thursday’s Cricket World Cup opening ceremony here. The captains of all participating teams will make a grand entry into a packed Bangabandhu Stadium riding these humble vehicles.
“The rickshaw is our traditional transport. It is a part of Bangladesh’s heritage. So, we want to present it before the guests. All 14 skippers will enter the stadium in rickshaws,” tournament director for Bangladesh Ali Ahsan Babu said.
Babu said the rickshaws will be brightly decorated and colourful.“Our rickshaws are known for their multi-colours. We will also present before the guests aesthetically designed rickshaws. There will be bright illumination so that the skippers are all visible from even the galleries,” said Babu.
It will be really funny to watch them all getting out of the rickshaws .

Classic looks, new technology: Fujifilm's X100 gets release date and pricing

The FinePix X100 digital camera with hybrid viewfinder has been given a price and release date

Fujifilm North America has announced that its FinePix X100, that was unveiled at the Photokina trade show last September, is set for release next month. Aimed at professional or enthusiast photographers, the fixed lens, large sensor digital camera sports classic non-digital camera controls and a hybrid viewfinder that allows users to switch between optical and electronic modes.

In appearance, the new FinePix X100 has a certain Leica M9 look about it ... but Fujifilm says that "the combination of a hybrid viewfinder, large APS-C sensor and a precisely matched prime lens, make this camera unique to anything else in the market, and is presented within a rangefinder design that makes it an instant modern classic."

The top and bottom surfaces are made from die-cast magnesium alloy, the dials and rings are milled from metal and the chassis has been finished in leather-like accents. The upper dials allow the user to program camera settings without powering on the camera, and the large 12.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor has been internally optimized and exclusively developed for the X100. Its ISO sensitivity runs from 200 to 6400, but this can be expanded to ISO100 to ISO12800, giving the camera "approximately 10 times the sensitivity of a conventional compact."
In addition to the non-collapsible structure mentioned previously, the FUJINON 23mm Single Focal Length Fixed F2 lens has a macro capability as close as four inches, and the adoption of a 9-blade aperture diaphragm assists in capturing images with a circular soft out-of-focus or bokeh effect.
"The true enjoyment of photography begins with the thrill of seeing the world through a viewfinder," says Fujifilm. "The new Hybrid Viewfinder has been developed to reintroduce users to this essential camera experience. It combines the window-type 'bright frame' optical viewfinder found in rangefinder-type film cameras such as the classic 135-size or medium-format cameras, with the electronic viewfinder system incorporated in most compact or mirrorless digital cameras."
A prism for the LCD panel image on the viewing screen in the reverse-Galilean optical viewfinder allows the hybrid system to show both the shooting frame and electronic shooting data at the same time. The 0.5x magnification optical finder features all-glass elements and benefits from low chromatic aberration and distortion. The brightness of the supplied data in optical mode, which is constantly updated, is automatically adjusted according to the scene area.
At the press of a button, the user can switch to electronic viewfinder mode and benefit from "through the sensor" preview or playback of the digital image at a 1,400,000-dot resolution. Users are offered a choice between a 49-point auto electronic viewfinder focus area or a 25-point optical viewfinder focus area in addition to being able to select from five different focus area sizes in the electronic mode.

The X100 can record 720p high definition movies which, when using the aperture priority setting, can take advantage of the soft, defocused background effect. Onward viewing on a big screen television is catered for via an included mini-HDMI connector.
The camera's 120 or 180 degree motion panorama mode is worth a quick final mention, with users being able to print results as A3-sized (11.7 x 16.5-inch) enlargements.
The FinePix X100 will be priced at US$1,199.95.

Next Spider Man movie will be called THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN with brand new cast

Columbia Pictures announced today that the title of the next Spider-Man film will be The Amazing Spider-Man.
The studio simultaneously released a photo of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, the first shot of Garfield in the famous full mask and suit.

The film, which is now in production and is being shot entirely in 3D, will be released on July 3, 2012. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the Marvel Entertainment production for Columbia Pictures. The executive producers are Stan Lee, Kevin Feige, and Michael Grillo.

Veena Malik is back in news. This time even bigger. After a firing session with Mufti Saab, Syed Noor and TV Anchor of private TV network which buzzed around with remixes on facebook and twitter, Veena Malik has revealed her plans which will turn down all the negative buzz going around herself. She has become the talk of the town in Pakistan as well as India.
Her popularity have not stopped yet as she has even more big dreams and plans than the previous ones. Veena Malik will be hosting the World Cup 2011 on an Indian channel, this is claimed by no other than herself. She revealed this news recently on a Express TV Channel of Pakistan with the host Juggan Kazim. Although, the name of the Indian channel is not revealed but she is definitely going back to India and host full coverage of World Cup 2011.

This is not done yet. There is another news which are bigger than hosting World Cup. After Big Boss, we will see Veena Malik in Fear Factor India – a reality TV show where participants have to do some dangerous stunts. Believe it or not , Veena herself , all alone, is going to make it big for her and we, the Pakistanis don’t know why, trying to ask her for our share in her succes, when we even didn’t support her ever.
